Couples Session at Pine Flat Lake | Christmas, New Year & Dogs at Home
This session was such a special one to be part of. The boyfriend reached out to me wanting to plan late Christmas and New Year’s couple photos for him and his girlfriend — and he wanted to include their three dogs and photograph everything right at their own property. As soon as he mentioned their handmade entryway gate and the views from their land near Pine Flat Lake, I was all in.
We met at their property near Pine Flat Lake, and I was immediately blown away. Not only were the views absolutely gorgeous, but the fact that they had built their entryway gate themselves made the session even more meaningful. Photographing a couple in a place they’ve poured their time, effort, and love into always adds such a personal layer to the images.
The session itself was filled with laughter, ease, and so much personality — especially with their three dogs involved. The pups brought nonstop energy, goofy moments, and lots of giggles, which made the photos feel authentic and fun. It was one of those sessions where everything flowed naturally, and getting to know the couple while capturing their dynamic felt effortless.
What I loved most was how relaxed and comfortable the entire experience felt. Shooting at home, surrounded by familiar scenery and their dogs, allowed them to truly be themselves. The combination of the property, the handmade gate, the open views, and the joy they shared made the gallery feel incredibly genuine and full of heart.
I’m so grateful I got to be part of this session and document such a meaningful place and moment in their lives. These are the kinds of photos that go beyond just Christmas or New Year’s — they’re memories tied to home, love, and the life they’re building together.
