Extended Family Session in Fresno, California | From Mentor to Family
This session meant so much to me on a personal level. I had the incredible opportunity to photograph a former supervisor of mine — someone who started as a mentor and has since become a close friend I truly consider a sister. Being trusted to capture her beautiful family was such an honor and a full-circle moment for me.
This was an extended family session, including her husband, his sister, and all of their littles. From the very beginning, the session was filled with laughter, connection, and so much love. We captured a wonderful mix of photos — sweet moments between mom and dad, special shots of mom and dad with their four littles, and joyful group images that truly reflected their family dynamic.
What made this session even more meaningful was knowing these photos were being created as a Christmas gift for their loved ones. There’s something so special about gifting memories — moments frozen in time that can be cherished for years to come.
Sessions like this remind me why I love photography so much. Getting to document families I care deeply about, especially people who have played such an important role in my life, is something I’ll never take for granted. I’m so grateful for the trust, the connection, and the memories we created together during this beautiful family session.
