Mother & Son Fall Session in Old Town Clovis | Warm Moments & Falling Leaves

This session was extra special for me because the sweet mama who reached out is actually an old friend of mine! We’ve kept up with each other over the years through social media, and I absolutely love seeing how far she’s come. When she messaged me about doing a mother and son photo session in Old Town Clovis, I was so excited — especially when she mentioned wanting to include her dog. Of course, I said absolutely yes!

The vision was to have cute fall photos surrounded by colorful leaves and that cozy small-town charm that Old Town Clovis is known for. We wandered through the streets, stopping at all the prettiest spots — brick walls, trees with golden leaves, and warm backdrops that made each photo pop with seasonal color.

Her little boy was the sweetest thing ever — curious, full of life, and constantly pointing things out as we walked (especially since there was a farmer’s market happening nearby). It made the entire session feel so natural and full of energy.

To end the day, we stopped for ice cream — and that’s when one of my favorite moments happened. Her son started sharing his ice cream with their dog, and it was the cutest thing ever! People were stopping to watch, smile, and even take pictures because it was just that heartwarming.

This session reminded me of why I love photography so much — capturing genuine, joy-filled moments between people I care about. Getting to photograph an old friend and see the beautiful life she’s built was such a gift, and I’m so thankful to have been part of this sweet fall memory.
