One of the best parts about being a photographer is getting to capture all kinds of special moments — and this session was definitely one for the books. A returning client reached out and asked if I could take some photos of her Australian Shepherd puppies for her website, and of course I said yes! I’ve worked with this family before, so it was such a joy to connect with them again and meet the newest (and furriest) members of the family.
A Fun Puppy Session
The puppies were absolutely adorable, full of energy, and kept us all smiling the entire time. Photographing puppies definitely comes with its challenges — they love to wiggle, explore, and play — but that’s also what makes these sessions so much fun. We set up props like a hay bale, a basket, and a cozy blanket to give each pup a chance to shine in their photos. Even with all their movement, we managed to capture some truly sweet shots that showed off their playful personalities.

While this session was meant to help the owner showcase her puppies for her website, the photos turned into so much more.
