Foothill Maternity Session Near Yosemite | Oakhurst, California

This maternity session was everything I love about photographing families—natural, intimate, and full of joy. This sweet mama reached out to me a couple of months ago wanting to capture a maternity session with her family of three, soon to be four, and she knew exactly what she wanted. Because they live in Oakhurst, California near Yosemite, she wanted the session to feel close to home and surrounded by the beautiful foothills and nature they love so much.

We met up at a gorgeous public wildlife area tucked into the foothills, and the scenery could not have been more perfect. With an old barn, open dirt roads, and wide-open views, the location created a timeless and rustic feel that paired beautifully with this family’s connection. The entire session felt relaxed and effortless, filled with laughter, sweet moments, and genuine emotion.

Their little one brought so much personality to the session, and capturing the love and excitement as they prepare to welcome their newest addition was incredibly special. These are the moments I live for—the quiet touches, the shared giggles, and the anticipation of what’s to come. Every image tells a story of love, growth, and the beauty of this season of life.

This Oakhurst maternity session was the perfect blend of scenic California landscapes and heartfelt family connection.
